Copy of Online Video: Why Are David Bowie’s Characters So Intriguing?

I’ve discovered a great YouTube channel and I just had to share it with you. ‘Lie Likes Music’ is the name and it’s full of interesting, and relatively short, videos to designed to give you the lowdown on many of your favourite music legends. Sure, current superstars are featured but there is also plenty of playlists dedicated to famous artists of yesteryear. This channel helps us understand artists, their albums, their influences and, in some cases, how they helped shape today’s music.

I stumbled across this channel when I was looking for some footage on David Bowie. I watched the video “Understanding David Bowie's Characters” and found it well researched, informative (naturally) and very engaging. I’ve included it here so you can judge for yourself. Bowie was such an unique, ground-breaking artist and it’s very cool to catch a glimpse of why he created his iconic characters (such as Ziggy Stardust) and how they became cornerstones of his musical career.
