Happy Birthday, Elvis!

Today would have been Elvis Presley’s 84th Birthday. And while several internet searches are dedicated to composites of what The King would look like had he made it to this birthday, we wanted to look back at time when he was young, virile and on the cusp of super stardom.

In 1957 Elvis made the movie Jailhouse Rock. The title song hit #1 on most charts

world wide and became a highlight of his live performances.

Here is a rare video of a very young Elvis performing ‘Jailhouse Rock’ live back in 1957, complete with swivelling hips and his famous sneer. Enjoy!
