Ian & Sylvia TV Performance of ’Four Strong Winds’, 1963

Canadians Ian Tyson and Sylvia Fricker began performing as the folk duo Ian & Sylvia in 1959. Although they married in 1964 they would divorce and stop performing together in 1975. But during those pre-divorce years they had a number songs on the Canadian Charts.

In 1963 they released the Ian Tyson penned ‘Four Strong Winds’ which made the top 10 on the singles charts here in Canada. That same year the duo performed the song on the CBC TV show Time Of Your Life and here is that performance. Enjoy!
