Joan Jett covers The Mary Tyler Moore Show Theme Song…and it’s killer!

It’s not often you’d see the names Joan Jett and Mary Tyler Moore in the same sentence. But when Mary died a year ago many celebrities paid tribute to her and her groundbreaking TV show The Mary Tyler Moore Show. To the surprise of many rocker Joan Jett was one of them. Joan says she grew up watching the show and was impressed that women were shown a being equal to men. It had a direct influence on her musical career.

Back in the 1980s Joan Jett and her band, the Blackhearts, actually performed a snarly, punk version old the shows theme song ‘Love Is All Around’ on live TV. Here is this rare clip and performance. Enjoy1
