When Randy Bachman left The Guess Who in the 1970s, he was far from done with music. Along with Fred Turner and Tim and Robbie Bachman he founded Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO). The band had a string of huge hits in the 70s such as ‘Hey You’, ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet’ and, of course, ‘Takin’ Care of Business’ which peaked at #3 in Canada and #12 in the U.S.
In 1974 BTO was on tour across Canada and played to a sold-out crowd in Vancouver. Naturally they performed Takin’ Care of Business’ and the crowd went wild. Here’s footage of that performance. Enjoy!
You can listen to music from Bachman Turner Overdrive and other Canadian artists of the 70s on Dusty Discs Radio.
