When Tom Petty died October 2nd, 2017, the world was shocked and saddened. Fortunately his music endures and, thanks to platforms such as YouTube, we are able to here his opinions and gain insights into the songs he wrote and, ultimately, made famous.

In 1985 Tom was interviewed by rock journalist Lisa Robinson. Here is that interview where he talks about his songwriting process, the ‘birth of ‘Don’t Come Around Here No More’, making music videos, his favourite decade for music and more. Enjoy!
