The Soft Parade Documentary On The Doors, 1969
The Doors tour of 1969 was cut short after frontman Jim Morrison was arrested after the Miami concert and charged with ‘indecent exposure’. By then Public TV provided band mates Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger and John Densmore with only means to showcase the band in an uncensored environment. In late 1969 they took to the airwaves to do just that.
This historic appearance, plus additional footage from the band members private archives and never-before-seen interview footage, were compiled into a fascinating documentary about a mature band at the peak of its musical powers. Titled The Soft Parade, after a Doors song of the same name, here it is in its entirety. Enjoy!
