Todd Rundgren “Hello, It’s Me”, Live On The Midnight Special, 1972

Back in the 1970s one of the biggest TV shows around was Burt Sugarman’s The Midnight Special. All of the 70s hitmakers showed up there to lip-sync their way through their hit of the moment. Todd Rundgren was no exception.

Back in '72 Todd had a #5 hit with the first original song he ever wrote, “Hello it’s Me”. Here he is on The Midnight Special, lip-syncing his way through that song. Dig his threads and his ‘Butterfly’ eyes…and notice the music being just a hair out of sync with Todd’s lips. Enjoy!
