Valentine’s Day ’Love’ from Lesley Gore, 1965

In 1963 Lesley Gore added the song ‘Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows’ to her album “Lesley Gore Sings of Mixed-Up Hearts”. Then in 1965 the song was released as a single to coincide with her performance of the tune in the movie Ski Party.

Here is a video of Lesley’s performance of the song in the movie - on a bus full of young people on their way to a, well, ski party. As she sings, she seems to have set her sights on one particular young man. Enjoy!
