‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’: Prince, Tom Petty And Others Pay Tribute To George Harrison

In 2004 ex-Beatle George Harrison was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During the televised event several rock icons (two who are no longer with us) joined forces for a moving version of Harrison’s ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’, which was featured on the Beatles “White Album” back in 1968.

Here is the video of that performance which features, among others, Prince, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Harriosn’s son Dhani, an outstanding multi-instrumentalist. Petty and Lynne provide the vocals while Prince provides a scorching ‘weeping’ guitar (watch for him to “fall” off the stage). Enjoy!
